THIS IS AN OPEN CALL FOR PERFORMANCES
Apply and you have the best chances of being featured at the Steyerl class' UdK Rundgang Event 'The Trader House Rules' from July 12th to July 15th. The Trader House Rules is a potlatch-based (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potlatch) festival of circulating goods, giving, receiving, and narrating social relations.
Suggested topics you could elaborate on:
Birth – Secrets – Power – Treachery – Marriage – Funerals – Sex – Initiation – Friends – Fitness
Make the creation of social realities happen. Create a myth and let it blend into what really matters.
Any type of performance is welcome! Duration between 10 minutes and 1 hour.
Dances, Lectures, Drills, Rituals, Bar Mitzvahs, Sermons, Karate Live Shows, Award Ceremonies, Storytelling, Flea Circus'.
You name it, we'll feature it. Reality has to penetrate these simulacrum's-walls.
